2024 Mad Hatter… Thank you!
Thank you everyone for participating, volunteering and attending the 2024 Mad Hatter Parade on Saturday December 7th. The weather was lovely, spirits were high despite last-minute challenges.
An extra thank you goes out to Santa’s crew for pushing his Steampunk Sleigh this year! Photo Credit Stephen Jacobson,
The 2024 Parade featured special guests, artist Jon Sarriugarte and his Form and Reform crew who drove the Serpent Twins, two fire-breathing 50-foot kinetic mobile sculptures. And yes, the crowd went wild.
Other vehicles new to the Mad Hatter this year were; HumBulldt Pie Factory by More Cowbell, Roller Skates by the Carquinez Quad Squad Roller Derby, a Rattlesnake, Monster trucks carrying Vallejo’s Mayor-elect Andrea Sorce, and a fat-tire Motorcycle. Photo credit: Stephen Jacobson
And some favorite Obtainiun Works art cars; the Saginaw, the Pickle, the Teapot, the Steampunk Air Ship and the Genie Lamp. Photo credit: Stephen Jacobson
The Mad Hatter would be nothing without the amazing diverse local community who participate, including this year’s Grand Marshall, Vallejo rapper LaRussell. Photo credit: Stephen Jacobson
Special thanks to the Obtainium Works crew, who work behind the scenes; especially organizers Kathy O’Hare and Shannon O’hare of Obtainium Works. Photo credit: Stephen Jacobson
